Deeply textural and distressed, this wood sculpture replicates an ancient wood water chuck wheel from 150 to 200 years ago that was used to manually pull water from wells in a mechanical pulley system in Indian villages. The smooth surfaces between deep the warm brown natural wood grain and cracks in the bark creates the antique charm these wheels had from extended usage and submergence in water over 150 years ago.
